As the weather has been so hot recently, I bought an ice-lolly maker from Asda for £1 and we've been enjoying lollies made from orange juice (a great way to get extra vitamins into the kids!) but the frozen treats that my kids like the best are mini-milks. At £2 for a box of 8, they're not the cheapest lollies in the world!
So, we decided to have a go at making them ourselves and here's how we did it...
Ingredients:
1 pint of chilled milk
A few handfuls of soft fruit (we used strawberries)
Method:
Prepare the strawberries by washing them and removing the stalks.
Grab a blender, a self-contained one is easiest but you can use a stick-blender (we did!) and puree the strawberries.
Add the milk and blend until both ingredients are fully combined.
Pour the mixture into your lolly mould and FREEZE! We left ours overnight so they were ready for the morning
Our turned out pretty nice and the kids loved them! So simple and you know exactly what's in them :-)
